Heartleap Video
A simple idea.

The story of our award-winning video, Heartleap, is a simple one. Two Rainbow Boxes travel from Santa Barbara to Tijuana. Two Mexican children who will use them to improve their lives receive the two boxes. Although these two boxes go from the United States to Mexico, many Rainbow Boxes collected in recent years have gone to U.S. inner-city children. It is our fondest hope that, in the future, children will collect Rainbow Backpacks all over the Hemisphere to help children in their own countries.

Our 16-minute video invites children to help other children overcome their poverty by giving the tools of education for an entire school year. In Heartleap, 13-year-old narrator, Dorien Davies, asks, "How can you make the heart of a child leap with hope?"

Simple! Draw a rainbow on a box (or get a backpack). Fill it with pencils and pens and other school things. Then give it to Children of The Americas. They'll bring it to a needy child in a school somewhere in The Americas.
