Supermarket Saturdays
Supermarket Saturdays are easy, fun, and visible way to raise food. Nine or so volunteers spend 5 hours each on Saturday, the busiest shopping day of the week handing out flyers to shoppers as they enter the market and receiving food as they leave. A large market can yield 700-800+ pounds of food plus $100-$200 in cash.
